Examination Guidelines
Examinations are an integral part of the academic process at Best Matriculation Higher Secondary School, designed to assess student understanding, promote continuous learning, and develop a spirit of healthy competition. The following guidelines ensure a transparent, fair, and structured examination environment for all students.
- Regular assessments including unit tests, term exams, and model exams are conducted as per the academic calendar.
- Students are expected to appear for all exams without fail. Absence from any exam will not be condoned unless a valid reason is submitted with medical proof.
- No separate re-exam will be conducted for absentees, except in the case of severe medical emergencies approved by the Principal.
- Students with less than 75% attendance will not be permitted to take the final exams or be considered for promotion.
- All answer scripts and report cards must be signed by parents and returned to the school within the stipulated time.
- Students should to pay fees before the 5th of every month will not be allowed to write examinations.
- It is the responsibility of parents to ensure all dues are cleared before examination periods.
- Students must report on time for all examination sessions.
- Strict discipline and silence must be maintained in and around the exam halls.
- Use of unfair means (cheating, copying, etc.) will lead to cancellation of that exam and disciplinary action.
- Students must bring required stationery and materials; borrowing during exams is strictly prohibited.

Student performance will be evaluated based on a
combination of:
- Internal assessments
- Periodic tests
- Term exams
- Attendance and discipline
- Promotion to the next class will depend on the overall academic performance and attendance.
- Continuous feedback and progress reports will be shared with parents for review and support.
- Parents must attend open house meetings to discuss exam performance with teachers.
- Answer scripts of exams and test papers must be signed and acknowledged by parents.
- In case of academic concern or required support, parents are encouraged to meet subject teachers during designated hours.
